Island Beneath the Sea - Isabel Allende

Do you like to learn a little history about other parts of the world while being entertained by a compelling story? Then you might enjoy Island Beneath the Sea by Isabel Allende. The story takes place in Haiti in the late 1700s, and is written in the point of view (primarily) of a slave girl.

I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did! And if you get hooked on Allende's writing (as I have), you'll also want to read Daughter of Fortune. That's my favorite, so far.
