Teaser Tuesday - Scarlet Nights

Scarlet Nights (Edilean, #3)
Where do you get your books? Some of mine come from big bookstores (usually Barnes and  Noble). Others I buy online, either as paperbacks or eBooks, and some I check out of the library or borrow from friends. But I also like to buy used books at Comstock's Bookshop in downtown Auburn, Washington. That's where I got Jude Deveraux's Scarlet Nights, written in 2010. Unfortunately, I just discovered that this is the third book in the nine-book Edilean series! Guess I'd better track down #1 and #2. In the meantime, here's today's Teaser Tuesday excerpt from Page 17 of my hardback edition of Scarlet Nights.

TEASER:
After days of heavy rain that nearly flooded the town, he'd discovered an old tunnel. It had been shored up with heavy timbers, and the floors had been laid with handmade brick--and it opened into the floor of Tess's apartment.

Author: Jude Deveraux
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Length: 376 Pages

Teaser Tuesdays
is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) "teaser" sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn't give too much away -- you don't want to ruin the book for others)
  • Share the title and author too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR lists if they like your teasers
  • Leave a comment on MizB's Teaser Tuesday post (HERE) and include your link so everyone can find your post.
